163 HP in one wheel? Sounds sketchy

I’m in.

I think my bike disagrees with me; she just threw her chain clean off the rear sprocket.

And now I’m stranded in Seattle.

163HP? On a naked bike? My lord. Even the S1000RR has ~100 on a full-fairing supersport and it’s absolutely terrifying.

Oh dear. How’s parts availability for your bike?

To this day, I have yet to demo the S1000RR. I MUST RECTIFY THIS.

... Then again, I guess I could say I came close if I rode a Honda Blackbird??

Honestly, I nearly answered “It’s a Honda bike, how hard could it be?”

And then I remind myself it’s a limited-run Honda bike.

I have a love-hate relationship with my 919, it seems.

Yeah, in the same way that you came close to driving a LaFerrari after driving a first gen NSX.

Ah, my brain must have dropped the 1 for some reason.

I prefer an Aprilia SXV 5.5, has a 550cc V-twin making 60hp@11,000rpm/32lb-ft@9000rpm at the wheel, 11,500rpm redline, weights about 300lbs. It is a race bike that happen to be street legal. Insurance also sees supermotos as dual sports, so they are cheap to insure.

Not a fan of many Japanese bikes but I really like the Hornet... nice choice!

To be honest, I nearly made the choice to pull the trigger on a Mk.2 Suzuki Hayabusa.

3 years later, I’m glad I made the right choice.

I think you mean HayaBROsa.

Sorry, rewatched that RCR episode again last night for the umpteenth time, I practically have it memorized by now.

V4 > V2.

Especially after you ditch the stock exhaust and rear fender.

I’m actually a HUGE Ducati fanboy. If money was no object I’d be looking for a Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak edition.

Kinja'd!!!

But since money is scarce these days I’ll have to steer myself with the more realistic idea of maybe a used Streetfighter 848 in a few years.

Kinja'd!!!

To me there is nothing quite like a V-twin or (L-twin in this case). I love the low end grunt and lower redline opposed to a inline 4 bike. I also love the slimmer profile since I’m quite short and the slimmer bike makes it much easier to reach the ground.
